Welcome to The GLUE Ministry

Dr. Shay was born in Wilmington, North Carolina, to Sharon Thornton and the late Robert Dale Thornton Sr. She spent her early years in Cleveland, Ohio, until the age of 14, when she relocated to Atkinson, North Carolina. Dr. Shay currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia. 

 

As a proud mother, Dr. Shay has three daughters: Shantaira, Zariyah, and the late Chloe. She attended Pender High School, and went on to further her education in Criminal Justice, majoring at Cape Fear Community College and UNC at Wilmington. She has since earned a Masters of Theology & Doctorate of Ministry with a concentration in Biblical Counseling, from Kingdom University International. Dr. Shay is the Founder and Pastor of The GLUE Ministry. 

 

Dr. Shay is a multifaceted individual with various roles and accomplishments. She is recognized as a Prophetess, Pastor, Published Author, Paralegal, Auditor, Gospel Songwriter, and Flight Attendant. Her literary works include five published books available on Amazon: "I Love Being A Girl," "Take Me I'm Yours/A Guide For Godly Dating,” "I Prayed For You; 70 Days of Prayers For Your Current or Future Mate,” “I Love Being A Girl The Workbook,”  “I Love Being A Girl The Workbook Teenagers Edition,” and “Sis, I Got You!

Dedicated to serving others, Dr. Shay has generously volunteered her time at various organizations such as The Good Shepherd, The Salvation Army, Meals on Wheels, Houston Moore Housing Development, Port City Rip the Runway, and The New Hanover County Sheriff's Department. 

 

 Dr. Shay's life is guided by her personal motto: "No matter what my job is, my full-time calling is a Servant."
